DXpedition

Equipment

To all who wants to work us… please keep in mind that this is NOT a full blown DX-pedition costing lots of money gathered by gifts and/or sponsorship. No such thing. Because of weight and antenna limitations, we will be taking minimal radio equipment. Well… minimal has more than one meaning I guess…

Here we go; We intend on carrying besides an FT-2000 a go-box containing an FT-817 with SGS PTC-II pactor modem and a FLEX-1500. Antennas still uncertain, most probably two fishing rod verticals with top-loading attached to SGC tuners, supplemented with a 20 meter dipole as well.

It is still uncertain whether or not we will get all this equipment on land, let alone realize our antenna intentions. The skipper mentioned no cargo restrictions 🙂 Lets see whether we copied that 599 !

SOTA equipment: FT-817ND/T1 Elecraft ATU/Palm radio pico or mini paddle/Inv V (20m) or EFHW (40m) powered with LiFePo battery.
